It was the same year he witnessed the the 2nd wave Chicago dj’s, Green Velvet, Dj Sneak and Paul Johnson at the infamous Sankeys Soap. Already a regular dance floor addict at Bugged Out, Back 2 Basics and the Orbit, a love for funk jackin’ Techno was cemented.
Mark created and hosts the London based Acid & Oddities weekly show for Unify Radio, which sets the scene for his DJ bookings, bringing an eclectic selection of tracks showing everything from Chicago house to bumping 303 electro, disco, classic 303 techno and fresh new cuts selected from the new wave of Acid producers and a mixing style clearly influenced by those Chicago legends.
Enigmatic and eclectic all tracks will and can be dropped, soul samples disco and classic techno traxx spin through the sets with funk and fire.
As with all our managed artists, Mark Solo is most at home playing underground venues and festivals where it’s about the music, he’s a proper underground DJ who gets into the vibe and lets it flow, just like his radio show.

He set up the Bump in the year 2000 in Leeds and the friendship with the now Finger Prince crew was born. Bump was a proper underground house night, something true to Mark and his approach to music, DJing and his parties today.
Mark’s 20 year experience on the London scene provides host for a Wednesday night regular slot for Unify radio. Acid & Oddities every Wednesday 8-10pm curves around the mastersounds mixer and fx unit . Everything 303 gets an air from Chicago house to bumping 303 electro, disco, classic 303 techno and fresh new cuts selected from the new wave of Acid producers.
Mark has been signed by Finger Prince Recordings for his unique style, his first release ‘Minibeatz’ makes this clear and his acid hinged Chicago sounds are perfect for the label.
Mark’s bi annual party at the studio and courtyard in East London are now stuff of legend, keep your eyes and ears peeled for the dates and for his appearances for Finger Prince label collab parties.
